Part III: El Agua (The Water)

Everyone has been doing lots of swimming lately... and the littlest guys are no exception! There are three little pools in the backyard of the house, and after filling these up it's fun to sit and watch them splash around in their "swimmers" = diapers to swim in (okay... confession time... I had no idea these existed until Jenna started putting them on... lol). Here the boys are getting ready to head out to the yard...

These were our two pools with eight little fish "splishing and a-splashing."
On the left, Gabriel tries on Jenna's flip-flops... reversed feet, of course... ;)
And Moises was having fun (on the right) being tossed in the air by Denise...!
After a thorough dousing... shivering inevitably follows! The boys all wrapped up in the towels like little caterpillars and curled up on the blankets beside us. At one point we were watching Gabriel... he gave us a huge smile, started running full-tilt across the yard at the pools of water, misjudged the distance, ran smack into the side of the pool, flipped forward, and did a face-plant right into the water... it was pretty wonderful... lol

The next day, Jenna invited the older boys over to the backyard to play on the Slip 'n Slide since the girls were still at the beach. It was fun to watch them wrestle, spray, and knock each other down all in the name of "water fun"... lol. At left, Francisco looks up from the Slip 'n Slide. At right, Daniel shivers in the sun... pobrecito... he still has chicken pox!
The older boys were fun to have around... they even acted as baby-sitters for the little kids. At one point they were out on the lawn... strollers filled with kids... lounging next to one another, and chatting amicably...!
It really is a blessing to have these older kids as helpers sometimes... ;)
