Above... behold the construction workers, who made this fantastic road with linkin' logs, dominos, and other playtoys! It only got more in-depth from here and with more twists, turns, obstacles, etc. but I didn't get a shot of the final product... it was pretty neat, though. I would have liked to speed over it! ;)
Above, Diego & Candi plan how to take down the enemy with their linkin' logs... [and they were getting so good at it, that I had to tell them not to launch anything outside the salita!]
Oh yes.
And they immediately go onto the "sticker wall" [which wasn't really a sticker wall until Steph walked in one day to discover this delightful trail (pictured above) from one corner of the room, halfway across the wall...! One of those moments where you definitely hear yourself saying, "Ah, it's fine... sortof matches (and dims) the fluorescent green anyway. ;)]
When you see one kid dressed like this...
The kids really enjoy making up these little skits for us, and this time it was about marriage... odd. But Aaron was the preacher and was exhorting this young couple (Candi & Marcos) to be faithful, let God be the head of their marriage, make sure Marcos was loving Candi like Jesus loves his church [have we talked about this, do you think?!? ;)], and many other profound remarks! Other than the constant giggling and occasional snorting (from the preacher and the audience), it was a pretty good sermon! :)
The audience: Jodi, Edi, Estefania, and Anahy
[I'm not sure what type of dancing, nor why it looked faintly folk-dance-ish, nor what spurred on the brilliant costuming to make it complete... but it was fun to watch!]
Como, no? :)
Thanks for your continued prayers for this place; we ask that you would continue to hold up kids and staff as we struggle and fight against the powers of darkness in this world. My heart truly yearns to see Him work a work in our days that we will not believe, though it be told us (Habakkuk 1:5). Please pray that the power of darkness would fail. We trust in Him and in His promises. Thank you.
"There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the Lord, a wicked counselor. Thus saith the Lord; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more. For now will I break his yoke from off thee and will burst thy bonds in sunder." -- Nahum 1:11-13
