January Happenings...

Can you tell that I'm trying to go in a monthly chronological order for my overdue updates? :) Turns out that January was pretty full, but I don't have a lot of pics; here are the few that made it into the file!

Jake & Tif's wedding was fun and it was a blessing to see so many family members and friends (even for a short time). We flew in on Thursday and got some time with the two of them before everyone arrived in the following days... for which we were thankful!
The other pic I have from the wedding: Mom and Dad eating pie! This is a typical Mr. Bahr face, by the way... :)
After the reception, we flew to IN with Papa and Mama Rink to visit our IN family for a week...

... and this is the only photo I have from IN! How pathetic...

Our kids picked out this mask for Joel for Christmas... and we thought we should probably take a picture by some snow! Hence... the masked man by a leftover snow drift the morning we were leaving to drive to KS! Ay, ay, ay... :(

We made it to KS and enjoyed some time with Dad, Mom, Chel and the Frieden grandparents, and then drove back down to Magdalena... very ready to get home! :)

If you can see closely in the above picture, this was the "present" we brought back for the kidlets -- Joel's old Legos and nature magazines!!! They have been a hit... totally and completely. And it's kind of fun to see their "old dad" get in on the fun, too... ;)

And randomly:

I took the above picture before making dinner in my Christmas present from Joel...

... a WOK!!! Yeah!!! The kids don't get quite as excited about Chinese food as Joel and I, but they are learning... ;)

And these babies (my birthday present) have been life-savers... feet-savers, more like. I had a pair of these for 4 years and they were totally worn out... so Joel bought me another pair to replace them. Turns out that THIS pregnant woman is VERY, VERY grateful!!! ;)

Jenna sent this photo to us while we were home and wrote something to the affect that, "Joel, you were taking care of her [Candi] from the beginning!" What a blessing and a privilege to have watched these kids grow... thank You, Lord!

Thanks for your prayers. We appreciated the love that everyone showed us in our time at "home" in the States and we look forward to one day heading back with all our kids! Please pray that we would continue to find peace in God's promises to never forsake us and that all of us here at CVE would continue to trust in His sovereignty, His goodness, and His mercy. Much love to all!
