I Want to be a Superhero

I really do... I think it would be amazing to have a supernatural power! By day, ordinary Stephanie Bahr... by night... fire-wielding, object-levitating, ice-freezing, touch-healing, super-heroine (without a name as of yet...)!

Personally, I always wanted to be like Dr. Jean Grey in X-men and have the mental powers and abilities she possessed. And, c'mon - Wolverine is in love with her... what more could you want?

Probably a lot.

But the point is - superheros and heroines make us look at the extraordinary within ourselves. The most humble and insignificant of humans are usually the ones with the greatest powers. And they use their powers to do good - to work toward an ultimate goal of accomplishing something for the benefit of mankind...

I don't have x-ray vision, can't run through walls, wish that hanging upside down from the ceiling was easier, can't make sharp knives grow out of my skin... and much as it pains me to say it - I can't fly.

But those of us without these powers can still be extraordinary - we can save people, we can show kindness and mercy, and we can wield the most powerful tools of all: forgiveness and love.

And we can do it all through Christ... we are his X-men (and women, I might add). We are fighting a battle in this world; a battle for eternal life - and I know which side I am on!

I think I might call myself... Saphiro... or Cafe... maybe Helga? Phoenix was already taken....

And what would your super-heroine name be, might I enquire? I could suggest a few: "Hoyden," "Dumb-schmuck," or... I've got it... "Nerdoid"... yeah, I like it! =P

I like Storm...she's really cool, so if I had powers like that, I could be like...Tempestad or Tempesta...I like!!!! :D (And calling Tifani a Hoyden would fit her, but it's a bit derogitory...ha!)
