Meet da-VID...

red-haired, bucket-hog man
needs serious saving from
being tan desagradable
(subtitle in haiku form, translates "too obnoxious")
IMPORTANT OMISSION FROM LATEST NEWSLETTER
PLEASE READ FOR MORE INFORMATION
Yesterday, February 11, 2007, an important comment was posted to this blog which detailed the omission of a certain Mr. da-VID Sceggel from the recent pages of the January CVE Newsletter. This was, in fact, quite an erroneous error in that said Mr. Sceggel posed for a photo under the STRICT stipulations that said photo would appear in the January issue of the newsletter, with appropriate homage paid to his intelligence, wisdom, spiritual qualities (such as humbleness)... and, of course, good looks.
He was deceived... in more ways than one.
We do indeed regret the absence of a 4-6 page spread with Mr. Sceggel as the center focus, but must break it to said individual gently that "giving the people what they want"... may not involve just pictures and information about him. However, I am willing to put this to yet another "stupid vote/contest," in lieu of recent developments.
If said individual - Mr. da-VID Sceggel - will commit to starting a blog (from his infinite store of wisdom) for the information and entertainment-starved workers of Casa Vida y Esperanza... we promise to reciprocate with a free plane ticket down for the summer. This, of course, is dependent upon the quality of the blog, quantity of posts, and general enjoyment level while reading. And... if the enjoyment level is high enough... others here at CVE may be inspired to join the ranks of the blogging world. To quote one individual, "OUR blogs? Where's HIS blog?"
Ahem. Point taken and duly noted.
To the wider audience... where doth your opinion lie?
And to Mr. da-VID... will you accept our challenge?
Let the sparring begin...

"Blog" starts with 'B'

"Blessing" starts with 'B'

See the correlation?

Blog.

Plane tickets for blog? Who wouldn't take that offer? I'll even chip in for the tickets if the blog is good enough!

I also second the requests for more blogs from CVE workers with occassional posts from los niƱos.

ok, ok. where to start? I'll use the numbering system from my last comment. it seemed to be organized and intellingent.

1. Steph, thanks for the face time on your blog. I think its kind of funny that most of your dedicated readers prolly have no idea who i am. and now they all hate me. yo soy tan desagradable. es verdad. yo se yo se.

2. carissa, since you already have a blog why not use it? words go well with pictures. I check through your photo page all the time. its part of the "trilogy of CVE pages" i check every morning. when none of you three update i kick my dog. no pressure to update more often though, he's used to it. i don't really have a dog.

3. Braden, thanks for backin me up with the more update thing. its good to know you got my back.

4. steph, do you really think i have red hair? was that a joke? how can you remember the stipulations I put on the photo taken more than a month ago, but then forget my hair color? On a side note however, when i grow out my beard it comes in red. not that i've ever grown a beard, I was at a gas station.

5. my bucket hogging days are over. I've openly repented of this. i don't think its fair that you guys are still holding this over my head.

6. amy, enseno tecnologia no "shop" son diferentes.

7. i have two blogs. One has to do with new technology for my students to do when they come in the room. In teacher talk its called a "bellringer". you can read it at www.unit5.org/kjhs/tech and from there click on "Technology Daily". most kids hate it. i'm sure you all will love it. be sure to answer the questions at the bottom of each post. The second blog i have is a real blog that i started 22 years ago when they finally started putting the internet on computers. i used to update like once a month but then the authorities said i had to stop because people that read it were literally dying of boredom. so anyway i'll take the plane ticket for July 28th. Peoria to Tucson returning August 11th. 1st class please. also send a book for me to read, or an iPod.

11. blog my start with a "b" but so does "boring" heres a sampling of what my blog would be like if I updated it.
Feb 10th - very cold
Feb 11th - very cold, did laundry
Feb 12th - very cold, snowy
Feb 13th - very, very cold
Feb 14th - bitterly cold
Feb 15th - colder than yesterday which i previously described as "bitterly"

12. Jeff welcome back to the midwest buddy. its cold.

13. i didn't reply right away because school's been cancelled and i don't have the internet. i walked to this coffee shop to reply to you all with the laptop. i had to walk because my cars surrounded by ice and snow. my toes have yet to defrost.

27. maybe i'll just leave long numbered comments on other peoples blogs.

con amor para todos
daBID!

dabid,
now i know why i miss you.

1. you're really really funny

David,
I think the next best thing to you having a blog (your other ones don't count) is long, numbered comments from you! Thanks for a smile and a laugh. :)

p.s. I don't really consider a photo website a blog, but knowing that you check it I will try to update it, if the internet will stay on long enough...

daBID, my friend...

1. Your response was better than I could have hoped for... muchas gracias por tus comentarios... we certainly had quite a few laughs...!

2. No worries... I'm pretty sure nobody hates you... ;) On the other hand, if you do not come visit in July/August like you have stated... we will indeed be "bien enojados"!!! En serio??? Vas a visitar???

3. Ummmm... would "auburn" be a better hair description??? ;)

4. We are in the process of convincing Jenna to enter the blogging world... do encourage her if you can... lol

5. I always, always encourage long, numbered comments... please continue, for I fear that I am now spoiled...!

Hasta amigo...

I like this whole number thing...

1. I agree, daVID come visit in el verano!

2. We need some male blood blogging from mexico. Hoel? Seth? Bill? Joe?

3. What's the link to Carissa's photo page? Quisiera aumentarlo a mis paginas que visito cada dia.

Anonymous said...

Excuse me, Mr. Mogler... "male blood"??? What, if indeed anything, are you insinuating??? [insert emoticon that looks like a big, mean, scary, angry face]

sedge said...

amy or steph why not add this as a permanent link to your blogs?

Anonymous said...

I'm not insinuating anything. I just want more (in number) refreshing reads!

DaBID,

Thanks for bringing a smile to brighten my day. I think you should still do a blog. Even though it might be boring, it could still be useful. ¿Como? While reading your blog example, I was reminded to do my laundry.

Nos vemos en el verano!

So,
If I was to start a blog, here is the biggest question that I would have about it.

--What should I call it?

Anonymous said...

Good suggestions daBID... the sidebar has been updated...
And Jenna... I need to give this some more thought!

amy michelle said...

Only a few things. I am not going to number my list.

-DaVID, I should have known you already had a blog. thanks for finally sharing it with us. I decided if I was in your technology class, i would thoroughly enjoy it. I was going to answer your question and tell you that I was into Lisa Frank, but I can't figure out how to post or answer...hmm...maybe I need to go back to Tech class...

Jenna, how about you name your blog...Jenna's Well of Wisdom. Catchy, huh?

Anonymous said...

1. yeah, i have no idea who lisa frank is. or what your talking about. i make kids answer the questions with a piece of paper and a pencil. its very technological. cutting edge almost. like that movie with the ice skaters...what was that movie called?... oh yeah "the mighty ducks."

2. yes, its definitely got to be "Jenna's Well of Wisdom" that way everymorning i'll be like "i'm thirsty, its time to go to the well........of wisdom."

3. hoels should be, "Things my parents sent me this week." And have weekly updates on all the good things you get in the mail.
