Let me preface this post by saying that our boys HATE haircuts.
Hate? you say?
That's a pretty strong word!
Indeed.
Before I was married, I pretty much took the approach that two or three haircuts a year was sufficient -- and our boys were wooly mammoths. After marrying, however, I soon learned that two or three is not sufficient (at least not in this household!) and so we've tried to be more regular.
The boys, however, are more prone to run and hide than to let me near their fuzzy heads.
So last time, I tried to make it more "fun" and gave them haphazard mohawks at first.
Aron (take 1)
The obviously "cooler" take 2!
Diego (take 1)
The obviously NOT cooler take 2... :)
Can you tell which boy likes to ham it up for the camera?!?
Marcos (take 1)
And his goober take 2!
Let's just say that the mohawks were a hit and then I had to convince them (well... I ended up TELLING them) that they were NOT going to wear mohawks to school.
BIG backfire... ;)
In other news...
... our kids were so excited that Uncle Seth was going to go to Israel. They were especially excited that he was going to get to float in the Dead Sea while reading a magazine... :)
So... Candi decided it would be appropriate to draw this picture of him floating in the Dead Sea while reading! And Seth, being the great "uncle" he is, had his dad take a picture of him doing exactly that!
(It was probably our kids' favorite pic of his time in Israel... :)
Ithan and Eric have really started interacting a lot more now and Ithan LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to be squished up right next to his little brother.
Eric, on the other hand, has his limits.
And he's not shy about letting us know!!!
This photo was from a morning when I let Ithan "hold" Baby Eric -- notice Ithan's delight and Eric's torture... :)
When I took Baby Eric away, the emotions were totally reversed... you just can't win!!!
Finally! A position that worked for everyone!
(Except you may notice Ithan grabbing Eric's socks... he seems to have a sock fetish and will pull them off Eric's feet whenever he can and wear them around on his fingers/hands. And if he can't pull them off -- like when Mom is watching -- he just gives open-mouth kisses to them and then tries to bite his toes while grinning at me around the sock in his mouth! Watch out, Baby Eric... it's a dangerous world with your brother around! :)
